In answer to your question ” xhastexo”, I listen to a lot of different music while i get creatin”. At the minute i’ve been listening to the soundtrack for ‘Drive’, Seasick Steve, The White Stripes and Dance Gavin Dance, so quite a varied mix. If you’ve got any good suggestions for something for me to listen to while i work, i’d be interested to find something new!
On a slightly more educational level, anybody know how i reply to comments left by followers?
King of the Monsters!
I started this last week sometime, it was a real struggle to get up to painting the shadow in, but i think i know where im taking this piece. I cant wait to get this finished and ready for the exhibition!
Here’s King kong during various stages of completion. I started this piece off at home, the i had the opportunity to finish it off in the gallery above the bar i work in. I spent the best part of 35 hours up there. It was awesome, so much light and space to think! Anyway…
KING KONG
This is one of my piece’s for my solo exhibition in July, inspired by 1960’s Japanese Cinema and a favourite movie/franchise of mine. This 100cmx80cm beast took around 45 hours. Which i managed to squeeze out in between working and sleeping in under 2 weeks.I took a few photo’s of different stages, which i will upload later!
I have already started on 2 more piece’s which i should get finished in the next week - photo’s coming soon!!
“GET SOME WORK DONE!!”
Ive got about 25 more of these to cut out so i’d best get to work!
Clark Kent and what he really thinks about being a Hero!
Wolverine - having a good old knee’s up!
“Fuck Yeah! Im Thor Bitches!!” - Not really, thats a drawing!
The finished article. One hand printed Kiyoko Hill T-shirt. I still dont have a name for this piece yet. It will come to me…it always does!
Astroboy in Poland! This sticker was stuck 30 floors up, looking out over Poland towards Russia. Thanks to my friend Tricky for doing this for me. My stickers are gping to take over the world!
So it’s been ages since i lasted posted anything on Tumblr, since my last post i’ve been working hard on a couple of canvas’s, getting new T-shirts printed for the store and generally spilling my creative juice’s all over the shop!!
The beginning of last week i was tagged in a picture, thing is, i wasn’t in it! A good friend of mine had told me a while ago he wanted a full sleeve of my work, specifically an image i did a couple of years ago, “Pork Lane”. When i checked it out i nearly choked on the BBQ pork-ribs i was munching down. This is just the start, but it is very impressive to see a piece of my work immortalized. Such a good feeling!!
