King of the Monsters!

I started this last week sometime, it was a real struggle to get up to painting the shadow in, but i think i know where im taking this piece. I cant wait to get this finished and ready for the exhibition!

Here’s King kong during various stages of completion. I started this piece off at home, the i had the opportunity to finish it off in the gallery above the bar i work in. I spent the best part of 35 hours up there. It was awesome, so much light and space to think! Anyway…

KING KONG

This is one of my piece’s for my solo exhibition in July, inspired by 1960’s Japanese Cinema and a favourite movie/franchise of mine. This 100cmx80cm beast took around 45 hours. Which i managed to squeeze out in between working and sleeping in under 2 weeks.I took a few photo’s of different stages, which i will upload later!

I have already started on 2 more piece’s which i should get finished in the next week - photo’s coming soon!!

Here are a few photos from the Bad Edit Showcase 17/05/2012. This was the first Art Showcase/ Exhibition that i have had a chance to be a part of. I think the overall result of the evening was very positive, and im looking forward to being apart of future shows.

I would probably have a bit more to say about the evening but im a super lightweight and was pretty drunk before the event kicked off. Thanks to Joe Burton, and Bob Catteral for getting me involved!

More stickers. What else can i say?

I’ve been working away at getting my exhibition finished (its going really well). So i’ve had no time to post up what im up to. Here is a bunch of stickers i’ve been working on over the past couple of weeks. I posted a few pics when i started working on these, now ive managed to get quite a few finished, but im thinking about taking the rest with me to the Bad Edit Showcase tomorrow night and getting a bunch of the other artists to do some.

I have been given my very own solo Exhibition. It will be launching on the 2nd July and running for two whole weeks. I’ve never had an opportunity like this before, so im grateful and excited to be showing off my work. But at the same time, i am equally CRAPPING MY PANTS! I definitely haven’t got enough work to display, so im frantically working away any spare time i have painting!

I wil keep you guys posted on my progress!

Ive got about 25 more of these to cut out so i’d best get to work!

This is my afternoon - i’ve got a 3.5 hour break between split shifts at work so i’ve come home and got to work producing some more quality stickers.

If you take a look in the top left corner of this window you will see another one of my stickers. This one is in Poland again but this is on the window at one of the football stadiums. That was one of the last of that sticker so im glad it’s high and mighty out there in Poland!

More toon hereo’s. Im thinking robocop, and the gostbusters next. My apologies for the poor picture quality. I haven’t drank in a few hours, so the shakes are with me!! Joke, hahaha i kid!! Im drinking right now! Iron man is probably my favourite so far. Cap’ just falls short of the top spot (im not too happy with the mouth).
